At ITC we love sharing knowledge, and the doors of our installations are always open to anyone interested in our work. We believe good dissemination provides resources and generates ideas; therefore, we make a big effort to show our work instructively and adapted. Part of this dissemination activity is through personal guide visits of schools and teaching centres, universities, collectives, researchers, etc., with contents adapted as much as possible to the visitors´ level.
We also have some details for these visitors which we would like to share and which help us provide the desired service:
- Visiting days are Tuesdays and Thursdays with 2 sessions: 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. We have a little extra time (half an hour); in case we take more time telling you things.
- ITC activity doesn’t stop during your visits, because we want you to see a research centre in action, which is why you must always follow our Guide’s instructions.
- If you wish to visit us at Pozo Izquierdo (Gran Canaria), we recommend the group comes with warm clothing and/or sun visor: although we’re in the southeast area of the island and have lots of sun hours without clouds, the constant strong wind in the area and solar radiation maybe uncomfortable. So we can enjoy the walk more...
- The ideal group size is 25-30 people. Moreover, Pozo Izquierdo is a very windy area, so this way we can address the visitors during the tour so they can hear us. Even so, we also have much larger groups visit; but you may have the handicap we’ve already mentioned.
- Due to Data Protection Law, we need you to complete a document authorising us to use the group photos we usually take at the end of each visit, simply for our dissemination purposes on the ITC web and social networks. You can download these documents via the following links: under 14s (their parents/guardians must sign), minors between 14 and 18 (they can sign it personally) and over 18s. You must provide this document when we contact you.
