Under title “Common Strategy of the MAC Space as a benchmark for the elaboration of transregional RIS3 Strategies” RIS3_Net2 has as its main objective to make MAC Space a benchmark in the development and effective implementation of a transregional Smart Specialization Strategy. To this end, an action plan will be carried out, pilot actions for each priority and awareness-raising and training actions, which in turn will be nourished by other cross-cutting activities.

Priority lines of work:

1. To value the analysis and planning developed in the drafting of the Smart Specialization Strategy of the MAC Space through concrete actions.
2. Position the MAC Space as a benchmark in the elaboration of Smart Specialization Strategies, being the first to carry out this cooperation between three regions.
3. Bringing the knowledge of the implications of a RIS3 and the existence and importance of the Intelligent Specialization Strategy of the MAC Space to the Macaronesian society in order to achieve a greater alignment of the projects with the established development priorities and greater participation of these regions in cooperation projects, etc.

The project (with code MAC2/5.11a/246) is co-financed by the Interreg MAC 2014-2020 Cooperation Program, and corresponds to Axis 1: promoting research, technological development and innovation.

Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society acts as line manager of a consortium made up of seven partners, among which is Canary Islands Institute of Technology, a public R&D&i center attached to the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of Canary Islands Government.
