This project tackles the development, transfer, private investment and global commercialisation of medical technology. With this premise, the project studies transfer models which might offer options to medical technology receiver companies, moreover investment and international commercialisation strategies are contemplated, where bodies specialised in their promotion take part with the interested companies.

Main objective: 

As an RIS3 concept test, to develop an innovative ecosystem benefiting from existing research capacities in the Macaronesia OR, with the potentiality of fostering scientific, training and entrepreneurial activity on a global scale in the ICT field of medicine

Specific objectives: 

  • Foster specialisation and excellence in the fields of applied research and technological development of the ICTs applied to medicine, identifying and exploiting Macaronesian OR synergies and capacities in collaboration with bodies of international reference.
  • Carry out joint training and research ICT based experiences in medicine and engineering, as a collaboration channel among the territories involved, benefiting socially and economically from the research results, likewise fostering international projection.
  • Provide ICT based conceptual model for medicine to transfer results to the company, entrepreneurship, private investment capture and internationalisation, all of which are knowledge based economy characteristics.
