Incandescent and low-consumption bulbs

The compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is a type of fluorescent lamp which can be used with normal or small Edison screw tips. In comparison with incandescent lamps, CFLs have a longer useful lifetime and consume less electrical energy to produce the same illumination. Indeed, CFL lamps help to save on electricity bills, in compensation for their high price during the first 500 hours of use.
