Wind generator

A wind generator is an electric generator which is moved by a turbine powered by the wind. Its direct forerunners are windmills which were used for milling grain and obtaining flour. In this case, the wind energy, in reality the kinetic energy of the air in motion, supplies mechanical energy to a rotor blade which, through a mechanical transmission system, makes the rotor of a generator turn, normally a three-phase alternator, which converts the rotational, mechanical energy into electrical energy.
